The Adjustable Hoe
This innovative, heavy duty hoe is available with 3 different heads: 2 hoe heads of different width, as well as a variation on our Rake/Hoe, all of which can be adjusted to different angles for a variety of tasks, uses, and ergonomic ease. We offer multiple buying options through which you can purchase 1, 2, or all 3 of these varying heads, along with 1 handle. Excellent for small-scale intensive agriculture and landscaping. The heads are easily attached and detached with bolts and thumb nuts.
The heads are easily attached and detached with pins, bolts, and knurled nuts. The tool heads should be cleaned regularly with steel wool and coconut or linseed oil, and should not be stored outdoors or in high humidity, as rusting may occur.
The narrow and wide hoe heads are up-cycled from used harrowing discs from a tractor implement.
The rake/hoe head is made from AR-400 grade steel. This alloy exhibits high abrasion resistance (AR) and hardness. The addition of carbon and manganese, as well as quenching and tempering increase the hardness of the steel and create a very durable, impact-resistant surface. It is used in applications where abrasive materials such as grains, coal, ore, cement, gravel, light aggregate, and earth are being handled.
The ergonomic wooden handle is made from ash by a local woodworker.
The lowest foot of the length of the shaft has been coated with Linseed oil to protect from mud splatter.
This tool will ship in two separate packages.
