Magna Grecia Forest Model
This version of the Magna Grecia is designed for digging, hacking, and trenching in rocky agricultural soil and woodlands. The tines on this tool are the same as the tines on our mini-forks. The alignment of the tines allows them to slide between stones more adeptly than the tines of the Magna Grecia Field Model, and the welds on the Forest Model are incredibly durable. This tool is extremely useful for a wide variety of tasks on the farm or in the forest, but is specifically designed for working in the woods.
The tool head should be cleaned regularly with steel wool and coconut or linseed oil, and should not be stored outdoors or in high humidity, as rusting may occur.
The tool head is made from AR-400 grade steel. This alloy exhibits high abrasion resistance (AR) and hardness. The addition of carbon and manganese, as well as quenching and tempering increase the hardness of the steel and create a very durable, impact-resistant surface. It is used in applications where abrasive materials such as grains, coal, ore, cement, gravel, light aggregate, and earth are being handled.
The ergonomic wooden handle is made from ash by a local woodworker.
The lowest foot of the length of the shaft has been coated with Linseed oil to protect from mud splatter.
This tool will ship in two separate packages.

Total height: 51"
Handle weight: 3lbs
Total weight: 6lbs
